Breast
cancer is a tumor that is originally found in the cells of the breast.
It is most common in women, but can also be found in men as well.
Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer among women, other
than skin cancer. Every year more than 200,000 women are diagnosed
with breast cancer in a country.
Women
who have been diagnosed with breast cancer have a number of treatment
options depending on the stage of cancer. A lumpectomy is the removal
of the tumor without removing the entire breast. This is the choice
of many women, who discover breast cancer in its early stages. Another
option is a mastectomy. This is the removal of the breast and is
a common treatment for elevated stages of the disease. Most treatment
options include follow-up treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation.
There are also several alternative medicine options for post surgery
treatment.

Latest End Stage Breast Cancer Information
One of the most important factors in any discussion about breast cancer is the concept of early detection. For years women have been encouraged to perform monthly self-exams. This is a simple way to search for abnormalities such as lumps or swelling. For breast cancer detection, it is recommended that women have a clinical breast examination every three years starting at the age of 20. An early detection method of breast cancer is regular visits to your doctor for mammograms. All women over 40 should do this every year. This procedure identifies abnormalities and often leads to a biopsy to check for the presence of cancer cells. It is recommended that women with a high risk for breast cancer start getting mammograms and regular tests at a younger age. If you have been diagnosed with breast cancer one of the most important decisions you can make is choosing a treatment plan that's right for you. The most common treatments for all types of cancer are surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. When it comes to breast cancer women have several choices, including breast cancer alternative treatments. One of the most popular new breast cancer alternative treatments is called controlled amino acid therapy, or CATT. This is a breast cancer treatment plan that focuses on diet and control or manipulation of the growth of cancer cells in the body. It was developed by scientists and researchers at the A.P. John Institute for Cancer Research, who performed extensive studies on the effects of manipulating cancer cells through a person's natural internal reactions to different foods and nutrients. On the website you can read testimonials from women who have reduced the growth and recurrence of cancer cells with this process. This process normally compliments other cancer treatments such as surgery or chemotherapy. For breast cancer, no matter what treatment you choose, it's important to check with your doctor for a treatment plan that fits the severity of your breast cancer. It's also a good idea to seek a second opinion before you begin any breast cancer treatment programs. You can find additional information about treatment options online at the many cancer related research websites. New breast cancer advancements show that better nutritional health can help the body to fight the disease. Studies show that plant estrogens found in glyconutrients known as phytoestrogens can significantly decrease the presence of breast cancer cells in breast tissue. Phytoestrogens can be found in several plants, particularly soybeans. Other nutrients such as phytochemicals, which are found in green leafy vegetables, can help strengthen the immune system during chemo and radiation therapy.
